I help keep it clean.
I’m not an installer, and I don’t sell or repair panels. My job is narrow: clean the glass safely, and let you know if something looks wrong.
What I do
- Clean panels with deionized water and soft brushes, matched to each panel manufacturer's cleaning instructions
- Photograph your array before and after
- Note anything that looks off: cracked glass, loose or hanging wires, critter nests, debris under the array
What I send back to your installer
- Anything that might be under your workmanship or product warranty
- Inverter, optimizer, or monitoring problems
- Wiring or electrical issues
- Panel removal and reinstall for roof work
- Sudden production drops
I’ll document what I see with photos so your installer has something useful to work from.
“My installer said I don’t need cleaning.”
For many systems, they’re right. Loose dust rinses off, and plenty of Wisconsin arrays run fine for years without cleaning. I’m here for the cases where something sticks: bird droppings, pollen film, farm dust, or buildup on low-tilt panels. If yours looks clean and production is steady, I’ll tell you to wait.
For installers
A safe place to send cleaning requests.
If your customers ask about cleaning, I’m a safe place to send them instead of a ladder and a garden hose. I’m $2M insured and OSHA-trained. I never walk on panels or pressure wash, and I follow each panel manual’s rules on brushes and cleaners. Any issue I find goes back to you, not to another installer.
